metal lathe info needed

I've had stuff off Tony who runs the site, most of the manuals are copies of the manufactures originals.

Only just saw this Hamish. There's an old Colchester where I work, one set of jaws needs to be put in number three first, then number one then number two to align them properly if that makes sense, otherwise one of them is out slightly as you described. All the other jaws are fine and all the other lathes are fine, it's just the one set on the one lathe.
 
By the look of the chuck the jaws are reversible, they have probably been placed back in the wrong order, on some chucks and jaws there are numbers stamped to aid alignment, if not its trial and error until correct.
