Map Magnifiers?

I'm looking for a small resilient map magnifier for general use both on the trail and at home.

I have one ready built in to a Silva compass, but that lives in a grab-bag and I want to leave it there routinely

Any suggestions for a light packable thing?

Like Mesquite says it's the thing you need. I have one clipped to the Silva roamer I keep in my map case. Both handy bits of kit.

And if you get one of the x5 Fresnels you can just about get a fire to light from it on a sunny day in England. Dirt cheap on Ebay or Amazon and even from many bookshops.
