Lots of good advice and tricks here! Well done all.

My wife used to swear by Ginger Nuts while at least, went through a pack on one crossing from Roscoff, but to be fair to her it was a right old choppy 'un. If the worst of it takes you, get to the lowest and most central part of the ship and lay down.

Stay on deck in the fresh air as much as possible.
Keep your mind off being sick.
Remember that mal de mer is just French for I'm sick of my mother.
Not quite right, Mal de mer is literally translated as Sea Sickness
Mer = Sea.
Sick of mother would be Mal de Mère
Mère = Mother

Righty. Thanks for all of that. I am queasy already.

Ill keep you all posted as to my adventures.

They are going to be EPIC.
I think if you worry and think about getting queasy..you will, as you are priming yourself for it.
Put it out of your mind and instead get excited and aim to enjoy yourself, even if it gets choppy.
YOu ARE GOING TO ENJOY EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. ITS AN ADVENTURE.
YOU WILL BE FINE.
YOU WILL BE FINE.
YOU WILL BE FINE.
If it gets choppy,It's just a fairground ride, its exhilarating, and you are loving it.!
Can't wait to hear all about it.

Does not help, sea sickness is a physical (inner ear balance) thing and not a mental one.
Just as you can´t heal a broken leg with positive thoughts.

I once went on a ship from Tallinn to Helsinki, an 80km long sea trip. Wave height was 5 meters. Easily sea sick as I get I prepared by taking pills.
Recommended dosage was 1 pill...I took 3. No problem at all, ship rolled heavily but I floated in my cloud and finally fell asleep and slept through the voyage.

Oh, sorry, I was just trying to add a positive mental attitude to things as Tengu said she was feeling queezy just thinking about it..
I find a positive attitude works pretty well for me with most things. If you go into a situation wearing your worst fears, then you are already 50% down on the situation.
Think positive and you are 50% up.

75 ft?! at sea? That's a boat! (well, a Sunseeker yacht).

Have fun :)
Usually it's a boat under 100ft or under 500 tons. However all submarines are boats.

A saying I've heard is any boat can go down once, but only a submarine can come back up! No idea why I thought that was appropriate here. Sorry Tengu.
