My first post on the boards - I usually lurk in the kit chatter section or do searches to find reviews of stuff I am curious about. But here it goes - a stub on the Luru Valley of Trøndelag in Norway. Easily-ish accesible from most European airports via a transfer at Oslo Gardemoen airport to Trondheim, and then by bus or rented car to Luru. It is part of Norways national park system ( link in Norwegian) http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_over_norske_nasjonalparker
The area has it all. You have your lower laying woods and marshes, the wooded and more open hills and the bare alpine with terrain over 1000 meters /sealevel. I guess april to august is the best time to go. September is hunting season and October - well you could see some snow.
This area is well known for its many possible routes and camp spots. It is open to all - as long as they leave no trace.
( Norwegian law allow all to pass through any property not in conjunction to a building/cultivated area by 500 feet - AND pitch a tent there for one night - regardless of ownership. As always - thread lightly and leave no trace applies. There are restrictions on lighting fires from 15 of April to 5 of september in wooded areas - that said I guess that rule only applies to those who cant make a fire without torching the wood
Also a historical site - with some WWII sites etc -enclosed link for the pics to give you an idea

I recommend it. Easy enough to get to and varied terrain
