Ages ago my matron at school offered me a mysterious round metal drum saying "a boy left this here 3 years ago and doesn't want it any more." at the time I declined it as I had no idea what it was. Thanks to the thread about trangias in argos I looked at the picture and had some sort of memory trick, Legged it up stairs to grab matron before she left and she gave me a genuine trangia with the mini kettle but no fuel burner, but hey for free, good nab I feel!! How much are just the spirit burners??
Cheers

I like this site for stove info.

You can pick up cheap trangia copy burners or attempt to make your own out of drink cans or cat food tins. I bought a cheap copy set from Aldi (or Lidl can't remember) and was VERY impressed at how well they work.

I still prefer cooking on wood, but then of course there are places where you are not allowed to no matter what precautions you may take.
