woodspirit_carving,

Welcome to Lords Wood
This meet we will be occupying the main Lords Wood, clearing and processing as we establish a more permanent communal area, please bring your relevant cutting tools. Small personal fires are allowed, plenty of fire wood here dead standing windblown only. (read guidelines) There will be an additional communal charge of £2 max each per meet to fund essential equipment.

Just about everything else you need to know is here

Went up to lords wood the other day, reason was twofold. I Had a job for my wheelbarrow, and check out the access. Amazing what a bit of sun and wind can do, top meadow back to normal. :) bluebells and trees sprouting quickly too can't wait for the meet!

Another bit of useful info, the landlord of the horse and jockey pub has agreed to us using the pub car park if we ever have an access issue again. There may be a small fee have yet to discuss that with him, but rather that than miss a meet. ;)

Hello I'm new to the group and assume that everyone is self sufficient at these meetings?
I have a basic knowledge of bushcraft just want to put it into practice. If you have any advice on kit to bring it would be appreciated.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Thanks

Hi Pete yes self sufficient although we do have a communal firepit on the go for heat/cooking if you need it. Any thing you need to keep warm and dry, just bring it and a fold up chair is handy. Add your dates too. As this is a work meet, bring any tools you might need for brash clearing.
