I have just brought a Adler G.A.K knife it's total usable and Solid but the Blade doesn't have the Crisp Snap that I want due to age and use anybody know of a way to solve this ?.

Sometimes a good jet of air can blast out the crap that's accumulated over the years, or if the materials allow it, submerging in warm soapy water for a while and opening and closing the blade. Cocktail sticks are good for scraping harder stuff out if really caked on. Then oil it up and work it in.
However, if it's not due to crud, it could be that the spring bar has lost tension or the spring face/blade tang have been worn down and therefore no longer have a smoothly defined open and close.

I was just going to shout "Clean it out !". 9 times out of 10 all they need is the accumulation of detritus and pocket fluff cleaned out of them and perhaps a tiny drop of oil.

Ok thanks I'll try the soak method as I already cleaned out the muck with a cocktail stick.
