Looking for 2.5 or 3 inch wide rawhide strip

Hi folks
can anyone advise where to get about 8 feet of raw hide strip about 2.5 to 3 inch wide? It doesn't have to be fantastic quality as its going to edge a kids shield.

if you don't mind it being in sections....

Take a wander around a pet shop and buy yourself a large dog chew, the ones knotted at each end are good.

Soak it in water for a day or so and unroll it - inside there'll be a load of unwanted offcuts, but the main outer piece should be about 2 foot long and 1 foot wide - from which you can cut the strips you could use....

Thanks! Thats just what I did!

When the rawhide has totally dried out I will varnish it to stop it getting wet.
