I handled a FGYT woody for a friend last year,

He is off to the jungle next year and fancied a matching set, so he is letting me have a play with his tool:eek:

Here it is with the original beech scales as it came from Hennie Haynes,

First job after taping the blade, was to remove the scales and furniture,

we chatted about and decided on removing and smoothing the edges on what is normally the hidden front edge of the handle,

this is the piece of Yew I am making into the handle scales, it a bowl blank from Ebay bought for around ten pounds,

Ah that's ten with postage so maybe six by itself, perhapse just a mini winnie instead of the bago dude! Cheers Biker, it was the first time I'd built one from a blank for a paying order, talk about nervous I kept it for a week after it was finished just going over and over it. Don't suppose you'd be willing to part with some if your feeling Yew rich Shaun?
