I handled a FGYT woody for a friend last year,
He is off to the jungle next year and fancied a matching set, so he is letting me have a play with his tool
Here it is with the original beech scales as it came from Hennie Haynes,
First job after taping the blade, was to remove the scales and furniture,
we chatted about and decided on removing and smoothing the edges on what is normally the hidden front edge of the handle,
and after,
this is the piece of Yew I am making into the handle scales, it a bowl blank from Ebay bought for around ten pounds,
Will update as I progress,
Cheers Southey!
