Living History Event Austria

I have just got back home from a fantastic day out in Reutte (Austria) and thought I would share some photos of the event .
The event is http://www.ritterturniere.com/ and is going on all weekend. Its is a celebration of history and old stuff and beer and old stuff .
It is the first time me and the missus have been to this and we will be going back next year for the whole weekend.

My photos don't really do it justice as they don't show the sheer scale of it, the smells of cooking on fires everywhere and the sound of all the old instuments being played everywhere. Apparently this is the biggest event of its kind in Europe.

Unfortunately for me I could not stay for the evenings party as I had to get my daughter home

Yep there was loads of great stalls to spend yer dosh at, I think I lost count of the amount of blacksmiths that where there. It really felt like going back in time
