i've just bought a single edge crook knife, i asked for right handed one but am convinced they have sent me a left handed one.when the knife is in my right hand should i be cutting away from me for it to be right handed or pulling it towards me they say pulling towards me,what the correct way. cheers guys......

Generally, you use a crook knife to cut as you pull it towards you ... generally.

But there are always those few people who are ... contrary.

And sometimes the project works better cutting/carving away from you without just rotating the piece of wood.

It's all a matter of personal preference, and what you get used to.
