Out of interest how long has the process taken?

We have had ours (for Canada) in a long time and just found out that its likely to take a further 7mths before we even know if we are eligible for medicals!

Don't want to sound discouraging but my cousin has been trying for over a year to get a visa and green card for his wife to move here from Khyrgistan (Sp) She lived here years ago on a student exchange and she's his Wife! I don't know specifically about Canada but I would suppose it's not that different.

Great news and all the best chap. Be prepared for one shock though, talking to a nurse who moved out last year beer is anywhere between £5 and £7 a pint!
