Hi all,

I want to make some very simple slippers from leather, lined with rabbit skin. I know the shape, which is the shape of the sole, with the top bit on the side to fold over, stitching it along the outside edges.

Does anyone know the measurements to make them size 5? I'm googling this for days and getting nowhere, I'm even ready to switch designs providing it's also a simple one. I tried measuring shoes but not getting it somehow.

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Brady

Find a sock that fits the person you're making the slippers for; stuff it with kitchen towels until it matches that person's foot, then use that to use to make a toile…a trial piece…you can use kitchen towels again with the judicious use of a roll of sellotape if you don't have rag fabric available.
Mark the paper/fabric with a felt pen, and use that to draft the pattern you need to cut from leather.
See post no.29 on this thread for how I did it with wool.

If it's supposed to be a surprise, I'm sorry, but I take a 3.5 or 4 at the largest, or I'd give you my measurements. Bound to be someone else who is a 5 around though.
