Hey,

I had a recent enquiry about making a laplander sheath. The guy was worried about losing his saw in the woods so asked for a flap with press stud closure on. So this is what i came up with. Not technical but does the job...

Very nice, cant say that I have been worried about loosing mine before as the sheath is a good tight fit to the saw

nice work and to see a different idea. I use a friction sheath. before that a canvas slip sheath which I did have two close to losing the saw incidents with. yours is a nice clean design thanks for sharing

Thanks for the comments. The sheaths I usually make have a nice firm fit when new but the leather will soften some what with use. Just nice to make something to suit some ones needs... :)
