Lansky Master's Edge: Looks pretty good!

New sharpening system by Lansky.

Similar design to sharpmaker but a bit more compact, and cheaper too.

Would like to know what anyone thinks of it if anyone is getting one.

I would imagine it will be great for kitchen knives and any thing with a secondary bevel. Looks a lot like the spyderco sharpmaker which is also excellent

I use the Sharpmaker loads on my full flat knives and take it into the field on long expeds. I might get one of these to try out as it looks more compact than the Spydie.

Had a chance to look at one, and wasn't impressed. Very chintzy build that's rather typical of Lansky.

Well, that doesn't sound good. Was there any flex or movement with the rods and base?
