Yes, a very important topic. Remember Les Stroud on television cutting himself while trying to get water from a vine? As he was slashing with his knife I was cringing...ugh! Such poor knifemanship!

I expected to be able to find a good set quite easily but I'm starting to think I'll have to produce my own.

Nope, well not on scoutbase anyway. Axe and saw is covered in

I would produce your own Wayland. From what I've seen of your posts on here you know what you're talking about, and I'm sure the members here will chip in and offer suggestions should you need them
And what better source for knife safety tips than people who use them day in day out
Of course, I understand it'll be a hell of a lot easier for you if you can find a link with all the information already typed up and ready to be read
