Knife on a budget - any views?

Good with a firesteel too?

It will SMOKE a firesteel. Much better than any Helle I've tried. Helle's are often laminated and the spines have shiny, rounded corners. This knife is not laminated.

Nice looking knife too - is it super snug in it's sheath? I'm thinking along the lines of not losing it whilst canoeing.......

It can't fall out. In addition to fitting nicely into the pouch, it has a retaining strap that slips over the post on the pommel.

And just to confuse - or simplify - matters even further, the Brusletto kniven has the same blade, plain birch handle and is even cheaper!! Or is it still buy a blade a make one......

It's a conundrum to be sure!

I think though, I still prefer the Norgeskniven - I like the idea of the retaining flap in the sheath.
