A little more info about the sort of knife you have in mind might be useful
Blade length?
Shape?
Thickness / taper?
Grind style?
Materials; steel, handle, fittings?

I know a lot of folk want to talk things over with the maker, and can be flexible, but some start with quite specific desire. More information is always better and can save time and disappointments.
