Firstly, apologies for being unable to upload pics of the knife which would have made things a bit easier (and perhaps more interesting).
Anyway - I picked up a strange looking bushcraft/outdoor knife over here in Sweden on the cheap.
The makers mark looks to be the letter S inside a circle above the word STAINLESS on the heel of the blade.
I thought maybe a Schrade (?) but it didn't resemble any of the ones on google image.
It's a good looking little knife and I wonder if the blade which is a stubby 3" on a hefty 4.5" handle hasn't been 'recycled' - i.e. cut down due to a broken tip.
I'd guess at nickel bolster + rivets with lanyard hole, not sure on the wooden scales - maybe cocobolo of some kind. Full tang and as I mentioned, weighty.
If the S within a circle rings any bells with anyone I'd be grateful to id it.
