Thought I would show this knife I decided I would make it from some of the bits and pieces laying on the bench and floor of my workshop the blade is 4-3/4"x 7/8"x 1/8" handle 4-1/4" it's made from 01 and so are the bolster & butt cap, leather, handle liner, sewing thread.

Wow, very nice. Looks strong and sleek!

I'm doing a smithing course at the moment and items like this are a real inspiration.

I only make knives with micarta if a customer asks for it, but I don't like the smell of it although it's nice to work, I don't keep it in stock. I like wood without liners I prefer basic knives that are for work, I couldn't own a knife without using it,
Ive got one on ebay now  (don't know if Im allowed to say that  )

Same here. If you wouldn't mind me asking. How much would you charge for a bushcraft knife ray mears style. I currently use frosts clippers because they are cheap and quite durable but as somebody has told me, if you invest in a knife that is quality and hand made it will last you a really long time(providing you look after it).
