I noticed today as I went to catch my bus today, that the police had a knife arch in place at the bus station. They seemed to be directing everyone past them and then selecting those who looked "sus" to go through the arch.
I need not have worried, as they did not pick me, and even if they had, I wasn't carrying anything contentious, (unless you count an eye glass screwdriver), but it may be just as well to warn anyone intending to travel through the bus station that it is in operation. This may be part of a general West Midlands transport campaign.
