Love the Trangia box Alan, mine tend to get thrown into a Tesco bag for life :(

Great thread that has made me think of all the kit I had and now wish I still had, believe it or not, when younger I was a real 'kit head'

I'm intrigued by the little clips used to hold the Trangias securely to the top of the box. What are they please?

Hi Mike thanks for your interest, here's what they are :~ They are called anchor nuts they are widely used in industry, attached by pop rivets to the structure of what ever... say maybe In aircraft they would be used in conjunction with saddle clips & rubber bands to attach among other things the electrical loom to the skin of the aircraft & also possibly to hold light furnishings in place Etc. etc...

Hi mousey thanx, as pointed out by MikeB its a solution to a problem A wee shelf primarily for when I am using the gas. the hoses are too short, the gas canister sits on it & the smaller canisters needs more help to reach...

Over the years I've had kit come & go, get missplaced... & I too have been in that position, the web is a great place to pickup/replace "the kit I had and now wish I still had," no excuses make your wishes come true... that said, I am guilty of kit abuse also, there is some of my fathers kit, which I took forgranted when younger, & I now wish I had looked after better...

Ahhh - excellent. Many thanks. Apologies for the delay in replying - I've only just seen your post. Do you use bolts to "grab" the lip of the Trangias?
