I am looking for a kettle similar to the really great Kirtley Kettle but not in aluminum. I have a friend who really doesn't like cooking with aluminum and he usually prefers copper, stainless steel, cast iron, etc. I know it is said that aluminum is okay for cooking, I use it myself, but I am not looking to invest the time in changing my friends mind. I also am not into just blackening it over the fire and trying to convince him it is something else. Does anyone have a suggestion for something similar? I have search the local shops and second hand markets but have not found it yet.

Muurika do campfire kettles in stainless steel (1.5l & 3l) - not cheap, but their stuff is quality. Handle sitable for hanging over a fire as well.

Oh keep looking for an old one, nothing pours like an old copper kettle, so accurate you can pour Turkish tea/coffee from a height into wee cup.

How long had we been taking about one of these before I trip over one in a junk shop in Skye.

I really like the copper kettle in the pictures. I suppose I will need to find a weekend when I visit the UK next to scrounge around in the antique stores.
