Took a walk through the bottom copse today and then up and over the Downs.

Man how I love the high chalk. This image - whilst not a good one - made me chuckle

If you loook at it the way I did it appears the kestrel on the left is going to drop on the Roe deer feeding. I suspect thats a trick of perspective though :)

Its great to see these guys living amongst the woods where they belong

If you count scouring the verges for firewood - yes.
Walked about 2 miles and got enough recently fallen oak, ash and sycamore (all well dead and dry) to keep the fire burning for another night.
Carrying this lot back burned of enough calories to justify a few Florantine bickies and a cup of rum coffee....

Ours is a tumbledown old cottage on a farm estate - not "the big house". Thats actually the next farm over the hill from us.
