One benefit of the seemingly endless wet weather we had through the summer and later months, has been that the wetland area set aside by the local council has flourished. It's only 5 minutes walk away and today I had a wander with the camera.
The Teasels stand with their feet in the water and the Kestrels hang in the sky around the reed bed margins.
The Gorse blooms as ever in the sheltered places and the Willows are ready for Spring.
A couple of local residents, Stew and Casserole, enjoy breakfast in the warm winter sunshine and mankind does his very best to mar the face of Mother Earth.
The sky to the North of the surrounding Downland perhaps holds a threat of the snow that everyone is talking about, so perhaps I'll have photos of the tracks of the Vixen who comes aboard to visit me at night, in the snow, and not her muddy paws...must get her a door mat..
