Had an old cedar branch in my garden which made all the componenents. After a couple of tries(50+) i had an ember. My old friend birch bark helped me achieve flame. still have that grin!!

Well done I succeeded on new years eve Ive been out today and cut myself a shed load of spindles they are drying out on the rads ready for practice. Ogri the leather for a strop is much better than my Levis
