This is Skills for Kids that my son has done or is in the process of doing. This one is for the Georgia Woodsman Jr. Woodsman skills.
My grandpa got me a little folding pocket knife when I was about 7 I think. How old is he ? and how old does the forum thinks kids should be before anything sharp is used? (Thinking about my grandchildren here and their risk adverse mum)
In these Video's he is 5 or 6 ( It was just before we started Scouts ) The Knife that he used the most was one that I made him and it was Blunt and not sharp at all except for the spine to use on a Fero Rod. When he did use a Knife that was sharp I was right there but we practiced a lot and I told him how important it was to be safe. How old is he ? and how old does the forum thinks kids should be before anything sharp is used? I was about that age when I was given an Old Timer Knife, used it a lot and one day I forgot to take it out of my pocket and it went to school with me, of course I showed it to my friends and one of em ratted me out. They took it from me then I got a paddling cause my ex friend got a busted nose lol.My grandpa got me a little folding pocket knife when I was about 7 I think.
