This is just a small one that I found one day. I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet. It's quite resinous and very hard on the bottom where the growth rings are.
It's taken quite a few years to get this big as you can see by the rings. I really like how it looks with the rings swirling about in different patterns.The beauty of wood! Smells nice too

The rings are very tight close to the centre

Just sand it until it's smooth?

yeah, I believe pine bur is a bit soft to be useful for tool handling etc. But that will make a really nice "object d'art"
