The plot, like all editions of the story, radio, book, LP will be very different from whichever version you're used to.
It's a British film, and yes Mos Def, the american rapper is playing Ford. The director is quick to declare that he will NOT be american rapper style - who knows he may even have a British accent for the film.
Lord of the Rings was largely an independant project, like this film - so although you can't expect a repeat of the huge success you can expect a relatively un-hollywood style.
