While surfing the internet tonight and bought two rather nice bits of kit and bartered the price down too.

first one is a South African poncho roll circa 70's/80's new unissued I think it looks much better than the British 58 pattern rolls.
the seller also has a few other bits of South African military webbing of this type as well if any body is into that sort of thing.

the second thing is a set of the Russian Military issue digicam BDUs. I like the pattern much better than the American digital camo.
here is a link if anybody is interested.. I bartered this guy down too!

I've herd a lot of good things about Russian BDUs, extremely hard wearing and practical but not nearly as stylish as US kit. I think I can live with that.
As long as It is tough and puts up with all the abuse they will get, it will be money well spent.

Have some myself. Fantastic stuff for winter airsofting, or even general forays in the woods :)

Check out Russian SURPAT, very similar to the American MARPAT

The Gorka S made by SPOSN, http://sso-mil.ru/, is the one I like.
bdu_sso_gorkas.gif

It looks pretty bushcrafty and if it's Russian military it should be built like a tank.

I can't vouch for credit card transactions over the 'net though.
Happy trails...torc.

Russiancombatgear is long dead. long long dead.
try www.soviet-propaganda.com instead, if you can't see anything on the site you want contact the owner Dmitri and he can pretty much source anything you want. takes a few weeks to be mailed from st petersburg but damn it is worth it.
no affiliation its just i rate dmitry as the russian version of endicotts.

It is made of the similar material like shelter-capes (poncho) of the Soviet era which guarantee extreme protection agains cold & wind.
