It’s a jungle out there!

“It’s a jungle out there!” said the missus over the weekend as she complained of how the plants were invading our garden like triffids.

Now for a bush-deprived bloke like me this was not a chore but an opportunity so out came one of the larger Borneo blades – an Iban duku - and I headed for the side hedge.

We have shears and secateurs in the shed but I have never used them. Frankly they are not up to the task of cutting through 1 ½ inch woody stems. I’d chuck them out but SWMBLT (to use Toddy’s acronym) won’t hear of it.

Got the second daughter to video it. A good 4 minutes of fun in a quiet Sunday afternoon.
