Its a jungle out there! said the missus over the weekend as she complained of how the plants were invading our garden like triffids.
Now for a bush-deprived bloke like me this was not a chore but an opportunity so out came one of the larger Borneo blades an Iban duku - and I headed for the side hedge.
We have shears and secateurs in the shed but I have never used them. Frankly they are not up to the task of cutting through 1 ½ inch woody stems. Id chuck them out but SWMBLT (to use Toddys acronym) wont hear of it.
Got the second daughter to video it. A good 4 minutes of fun in a quiet Sunday afternoon.
