As Paul says yes it is a Sting but may not be a Lowe Alpine as the Dutch issue were made under license by another company. Same quality just won't say Lowe Alpine on it.

It's not a Sting, it's the smaller Stingray.

There are 3 in the Dutch Army Bergan range. Stingray, Sting, and the massive Saracen.

Stingray holds 20ltrs without the side pockets.

All are excellent quality, probably the best kept secret in the bag world IMO.

Here's a quick look at the actual Sting (50-70 litre), but I've no first hand experience of the Stingray if a 20 ltr pack is what you're after.

I've used one of these for a long time, a Dutch Army one, and in my view it's the best pack around; I wouldn't be without it, great value, too.....................atb mac

From the color/discoloration on the picture it looks like a Lowe made by another contractor (seyntex?) Be sure to select the buton Lowe Alpine.

Is there really any difference? I mean aren't they both made to the same specs if it's surplus?
