Is the door screen and floor worth the $$$ in a Bergan 4-6 Lavvo

I just bought a 4-6 Bergan Lavvo. After setting it up I started to think "how the heck can I sleep in here in the summer with the nasty bugs we have here (here being interior of Alaska). Will having the screen door and floor give protection or would that be a waste of $$$?

Don`t know the answer to your question as I don`t have the Bergans lavvu. I have a 4-6 man Venor lavvu.
But I have two other possible solutions for you, that I use.
One solution is to have a fire inside (I also use citronelle candles), or you could buy a couple of pyramide shaped mosquito nets (my lavvu has tags on the inside for fastening the nets).
The nets take up less space and are lighter than the floor and screen door would be.

There is another solution, and thats to use a nest. This gives you both a floor and bug protection for your sleeping area. Seekoutside in the USA have them on special ($134) at the moment - see http://seekoutside.mybigcommerce.com/2-person-nest/ .

I think Ookworks (?) do something similar in the UK.
