Introduction - Ben, Suffolk

Hello everyone, I'm Ben, from Suffolk.

After a hiatus of 6 years I've suddenly got the urge to get back into camping, but this I want to include backpacking/hiking.

I've already found these forums useful for some tips on what equipment to bring and what not to bring. At the moment I'm putting together a shortlist of the equipment I want to get and trying to not get too carried away with some bits...e.g. will I really find a handheld GPS device useful in East Anglia or does it interest it just because is seems kind of cool...
