Interesting Stoves

Hi,
I am going to do a bushcraft demonstration for Scouts on Friday, and whilst I have a few homemade stoves - I would like some ideas for some new ones or better designs.

If you just tell me the name of some interesting ones, I can do the rest of the research - but feel free to explain if you want to.

Again; this isn't just helping me, but it also provides a comprehensive list for other members - a multi-purpose thread in some ways!

Hi, this guy on youtube has a lot of videos about a few stoves he's made including some wick stoves, alcohol stoves and one even has a fan built into it They all include boil times too to show how good they are

Here's a quick list,
Wood gas stove
Coke/soda/pop can stoves....search them on youtube there's many different designs!
Cardboard and wax stoves
Alcohol stoves.

Bugger, when I saw the title I thought you would be talking about proper stoves

Cat stoves are easy to make and it's interesting experimenting with different vent sizes, numbers and their placement.

Jim Wood's site is full of great info on cat stoves and others.

You can print various templates of Zen stoves , makes vent hole positioning easy.

Proper stoves are welcome to, I and I'm sure others would really like to hear anything you have to say on any kind of stove.

I collect them as a hobby (and user), Coleman fuel, paraffin and meths, pressurised and some wick types, any in particular you need help with?
