Interesting billy can / mucket on ebay

I've just treated myself to one of these civil war muckets on ebay

I've seen British Red and Mike Ameling mention them in the past so though I'd give one a go.

I asked what capacity they were and if they were suitable for camp fires so the original listing has been updated now.
1L stainless and definitely made for using and not just looking at.

Useful I'm sure, but how can those be sold as (American) Civil War if they're spun from stainless steel?
