Well I have been lurking for a while but not posting, mainly because since Easter, I have been pretty darn ill.
I am waiting to see a chest specialist and to be honest at times I wondered if I would be around to see to specialist!!
Antibiotics, steroids you name it. I have been on it. This is all following my mum dying from lung cancer a couple of years ago (from passive smoking) that started with a 'same sounding cough'!!
Anyway what has this to do with bushcraft?
Well After a really bad night last night less then 2 hrs sleep and choking all night and coughing up 250ml of fluid, I went back to the docs today and was put back on steroids and antibiotics. I carried on working and was ok ish all day(sore from coughing and the pulled muscles and heria I am getting from the coughing).
As soon as I come home I start to get worse. A lot worse!
So I am sat in the garden having just decided that I am going to camp in the garden!!
Some thing in the house is making me react violently!
So Hows that for an excuse to camp? lol

sounds like you got it rough at the moment I hope you get it sorted soon.

Having a break even in the garden might just do you a world of good,

All the best

Sounds absolutely miserable, and I really hope it gets sorted out for you asap.

I know I sometimes sleep in the garden just because the house and my bed are so damned hot in summer. It's a very pleasant few hours  refreshing too, kind of settles all the senses :)

atb,

Sorry to hear about your woes :(. Could it be dampness that's the problem? I lived in a damp flat and it played havoc with my asthma. A dehumidifier made a lot of difference and when I moved out it disappeared completely. I think that it's something to do with mould spores.

In the woods if possible.
I was in and out of hospital with what they called asthma from when I was a babe in arms until I was about 15. Then my mum threw out my eiderdown and hey presto I was cured. It wasn't asthma at all, I'm just allergic to down!

It might be very interesting to spend some quality time outdoors. Think minimal. Of course I'm not saying that this is the diagnosis but if you are allergic to something in the house you don't want to be taking it out into the garden with you!
