guy's, you've probably all seen my Military 1st post and the non delivery of the vintage german army rucksack.

i have just spent over an hour on the net trying to find another one in the UK......not a chance !!

what i'm looking for is a 20 or 30L rucksack for days out and air travel, no zips if possible and vintage or vintage style. if anyone could post links i could look at, you might just put me in a better mood tonight !!

Hi there
Look at the medium Alice pack with frame if you can find one in the UK. I've got a large one and they are robust, functional and retro back packs...I love mine.

actually our friend in france reminded me, you can get mini alice packs, all canvas. that would be my best alternative to what you have ordered, just go on ebay or do a websearch for 'mini alice pack'. i'll go have a look for your original pack now

US military never made a mini Alice pack, but there are several third party copies in this size..
The bag Shewie shows is very similar to the medium Alice..
I can attest to the solidity of the Alice... it was designed to be dropped by parachute. It is in stout nylon and is very modulable.
