I am a 61 year old retired, widowed, man that has an 80 acre farm in Tennessee. I am working to live off the Grid and be as much self-sufficient as I can. I will be raising horses, goats, rabbits, and chickens and Great Pyrenees dogs to protect all of these. I hunt, fish, trap, and garden, and the rest of the time create things. I knit, crochet, spin, weave, and cure hides. I make as much of my stuff as I can. I also flintknap, and make bows, slingshots, and blowguns which are powerful enough to take small game. This looks like a nice place!

Welcome aboard, you'll enjoy it here; many like-minded people on the forum but it's not so easy to do what you're doing on this crowded little island. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks so much, guys! I can give you all advice about those Grey Squirrels we've been sending you for a couple of centuries...Haha...They are GOOD to eat! They taste like Rabbits/chickens. Our rabbits look like yours but are smaller...they do not live in colonies and do not dig burrows. You can take rabbits or squirrels with an air rifle, either .177 or .22. I have owned several real guns, but they were destroyed in a house fire...I have replaced them with air rifles. We have the same red foxes that you do, but we have Coyotes, too, that are almost as numerous as your rabbits. They are considered vermin and can be hunted year round with no limit. We also have Raccoons, but there is a limit on them of one a night per person. I rather like raccoons and foxes, so leave them alone unless they become pests. Coyotes I plan on hunting in a BIG way because they are EXTREMELY destructive tp pets and livestock as well as wildlife here. Well have any questions, ask me...Oh and I have permissions to hunt on about 5,000 acres around my 80 acres...
