How too clean antler

Alreet.i've managed score some quite large antlers from a. Friends dad. Originally I was intending too chop them up for projects but the more I look at them I can't bring myself too do it. So I wanna clean them up see how they look n maybe wall mount them.any one no the best way too get the crud off.

Start with a stiff nail brush and fairy liquid. Next step is a soak in biological laundry liquid and a hose. If the skull is stained and you want to whiten it use hydrogen peroxide. On no account use household bleach, it rots the bone.

Nice one glad yer said that cause the first thought in my head was too soak them in bleach in the bath.ha

On no account use household bleach, it rots the bone.

+1 to this. I discovered this the hard way.

p.s. the funny thing is, when i look at a set of antler like that, alll i can think of is the various projects it could be put to use on! :lmao:

Cheers for advice. I might make a start on these over the weekend. On the other hand though I've been grafting my Jacobs off recently so my just put the owd tootsies up. Will post a pic when ive done
