The bush is a super market filled with food. I learned this technique from my dog.

Just for clarification, these possums are an introduced species and a pest in New Zealand. Wipe them out in NZ.

Most possum species are native to Australia and under threat from deforestation, so catching them is a no-no in Australia.

Great video. He's braver that me, I only winged my Mora at one after it chewed my brand new Aarn pack! (for the record I'd have gladly killed everyone of his possum friends after that incident)

I'm not sure it's safe to eat Possum in NZ as they're heavily poisoned in an effort to try and wipe them out.

I've been chewed at by a possum in Oz (I was catching it to move it out of a friend's house roof, they make a lot of noise if they are in your ceiling space). Their bite is no worse than a ferret.

Wrap some cloth round your hand and they'll bite at that and then you can grab them. They are pretty easy to catch actually and will go into a bag to get away from you.
