how to handle

i have this old blade and am looking to put a handle on it is the thang too short to do it prperly,ican weld a bit more stainless on

i dont want to put rivits through the handle if i can avoid it the handle will be ash


the thang is 3mm think will a slot the sixe of the thang and epoxey work well?

im no knife maker but the tang does look pretty short
the blade is lovely though
are they serated teeth on the back?

The tang is too short to make a decent user unless you get a fit that is really really tight.

The ideal is the tang should be at least 3/3 of the blade length.

Personally i would have some mild welded on the back. The weld will have to be very clean and very good so it doesn't compromise the strength.

weld another piece on it will make it so much stronger
