Why not wash it in the sea itself, then as it dries it'll have a layer of salt left on it from the evaporated sea water....and this might come in useful to lick if you ever find yourself running low on salts.
You might even find it draws other animals in to have a lick too when used away from the beach....I've seen saltlicks in forests in Sweden and the US so you never know.
Thats not a bad idea Bam. Then your beach front haven could be attracting all the wildlife for your viewing pleasure. You could then combine sunbathing and deer stalking in the same weekend.
Just i'd take the new advice regarding the measures against cancer and make sure you cover up well.
Failing that a good scrub with a brush and some environment friendly cleaner might do the trick.
