Horse mushrooms

There are a load in the next field.

Has anyone any suggestions as to how to preserve them before some disaster befalls them?

(Like I scoff the lot.)

Drying is the usual solution for mushroom preservation. You might need to slice them up first.

Or make mushroom ketchup.

Dried is nice way of storing them though a treat of either some mushroom tartes or a beef Wellington would be in order is there was a glut.
