If anyone's interested, I use a horizontal sheath for my F1 (bought off this lot on eBay: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/leatherworlddirect?_rdc=1. He doesn't always have them for sale, but worth checking back peridically). .
I like it a lot. I find it a much less obtrusive way of carrying a knife, eg pull your jumper or jacket down over it when you nip into the petrol station when you're off on your adventures or whatever - you get the idea!
