YOU HAVE TO CLICK THE PHOTOS (they open in a new tab)
I found some bags in the garage made of a material similar to tarpaulin but allot thinner and not 100% water proof (enough for the water to run down it though)
So I cut them open (with my opinel of course
) and tied string to the corners for guy lines so i could use it for a tarpaulin to sleep under.
I was quite pleased with the result.
This is how it attached the string:
Here are some more photos:
And this is how it packs up (I can get it smaller than this)
Good points
>Free
>Light
>Quick to make (about 5mins)
>Heat/light reflective (maybe)
Bad points
>Not 100% water proof (good enough for most rain)
>Frays allot
>Probably melts easily
>Flammable
>Does not blend in
These are quite good
Although 2 of them is more suitable for sleeping under
I made 2 of these and slept in my garden and it was quite good. It rained and I stayed dry.
Hope that was interesting for you.
