Purchased a sewing machine from one of the TV shopping channels.

Had a wee practice and then thought " what can I make".

Stuff sack made from sleeve of old rain jacket - ripstop nylon.
Cord from bottom of jacket.

Belt pouch from side pocket of old canvas rucksack.

Theres a downside though.
SHMBO now wants a pair of curtains made.

Fantastic Idea - Cammo Curtains!! :lmao:

They could have an internal water hydration unit in event of extreme thirst during the night.

Or Velcro'd stash pockets for compass', alarm clock, TV remote etc etc

Or how about lining them with no-seeum mesh to catch would be burglars during the night??

Apologies people - I'll go back to listing on ebay...

...my brain hurts :(

Been there, done that  Two wee boys who's favourite uncle was a soldier  I even painted trees and bushes on the walls of their room and star fields on the ceiling. I did draw the line at turning their walk in wardrobe into a bunker though!

Nice kit Long Stride. :) John C found a supplier of ripstop nylon (for balloons & kites) who sells good bundles of offcuts very cheaply.

Cheers,
Toddy

Well impressed!
We have a sewing machine that someone gave us about 2 years ago and neither of us have a clue how to use the thing
Must find someone who can give us a tutorial, asit must be better than my efforts at hand sewing.
