For those familiar with the spyderco sharmaker, this one has not got any rods to proteck fingers. But there is no need to press hard.
Am thinking of putting two ends that are thicker than the plastic you you can lay the stone down and clamp it in flat.
Easy to make and you could use hardwood, i had a sample of oilon that i got from direct plastics for ?2.50 that got thinking it might be suitable for another projetc but it wasnt.

Obviously with my one you have to do it left handed the turn it around and do it right handed, also i like using the corner of the dc10 sharpener
