Hi Lloyd,

A couple of thoughts:

Check the weather forcast for night time temps - it could get quite cold.

Therefore you probabably (almost definately) need a sleeping mat under your bag (a two season may be a bit chilly otherwise :D)

A wooly hat for the night will help a great deal.

Some folk hate them, but Buffs are versatile, small and weigh next-to-nothing.
Speaking of night-time hats/scarves, that is.

A pair of lightweight thermal gloves can take the sting out of trying to prepare the early morning brew. But, given you're only taking a two season bag, definitely take a wooly hat. Have fun!

It looks good, Lloyd but do you mind if I make a couple of suggestions that might cut your weight down a bit?

Just use one pair of trousers. Don't sleep in them, fold them up or hang them up somewhere. If they're a little damp, put them between your sleeping bag and your sleeping pad to warm up or dry out a bit.

I don't wear underwear in the bush. If you get wet, or hot, you end up with chafing. Either wear no underwear or if you're taking long johns, then you should be alright.

You don't need three pairs of boot socks and a pair of thermal socks for the night. (Well, as long as they're not cotton) Take two pairs of wool socks, rotate them. Wear one pair doing the day and at night, hang them up or put them under or inside your bag to dry and wear the second pair. In the morning, rotate again. If you feel like it, take some foot powder along. It does wonders.

Anyway, I hope this helps a bit.

Adam
